Louis Payeur, the founder of Motrec, built the first vehicle in his garage. That was in 1988. This robust carrier was delivered to a heavy equipment manufacturer where it performed so well that word got around. It didn't stop there. Requests for new vehicles that could perform a growing variety of tasks continued to foster the innovation and capabilities of our company. We have been busy ever since, building a wide array of vehicles that we are proud to call our own.Since our beginning we haven't looked back, but that doesn't mean that we don't remember where we came from. Every hand built vehicle we make for you is crafted with the same attention to quality, performance and reliability as our first one. Just two years after our first delivery, the North American auto manufacturers came knocking. They were looking for equipment to meet the demanding environment of just-in-time manufacturing assembly lines. We continue to build fleets of vehicles for all of the big auto manufacturers today
