Markdale Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1980 by a group of concerned local business people that formalized a business development organization in the village. Some advantages of being a chamber member are the ability to network at monthly meetings and social and community and business development. The chamber is the heart of the village to organize many activities, which encourage shop local initiatives.
