GIRLMy Story - Home Sweet HomeAfter years of travel, university and testing the work world, I settled into a career in fundraising. I was lucky enough to work in areas that included aspects of marketing and communications allowing me the creative outlet I craved, I soon realized that the fun, creative stuff made my world go 'round. At the same time I was living this joy through numerous home improvement projects that included paint (lots of paint and lots of color) and reworking the galley kitchen of my rental apartments. I found if you move the fridge into the 'dining area' and add an island you have a gourmet kitchen - well a makeshift one - it made me happy for years.Finally I owned my first home (with my wonderful man-friend Mario) and the serious fun began. After 'reworking' or 'gutting' two old Toronto homes that were our own, we took the leap and bought a home to renovate and sell (known on the street as flipping - a term I just can't relate to). I say 'we', but Mario continues in his chosen profession while I happily embrace mine.
