Since 2005 the Toronto Youth Theatre has striven to produce uncompromising theatre with young actors. Today, with more than 25 shows under our belts we have positioned ourselves as Toronto's premiere youth theatre.The TYT's mandate is to: Assist in the personal, cultural, artistic and social development of young people through the medium of theatre Provide every interested student who applies to take part, regardless of their experience or their financial status Allow youth to assert their independence, develop their imagination, and take risks in an environment where it is safe, acceptable and encouraged Provide guidance from a team of talented theatre professionals for each production Challenge and inspire young people to succeed in all classes, rehearsals and performances giving them the confidence, professionalism, and interpersonal skills to succeed in life Promote acceptance, equality, and teamwork Encourage and promote multiculturalism Consistently create productions of the highest artistic qualit
