Toronto Digestive Diseases

The Toronto Digestive Disease Associates (TDDA) is a professional organization dedicated to clinical research specializing in gastroenterology and diseases of the liver. Affiliated with the TDDA are 12 Gastroenterologists who serve a large, multi-ethnic population. The combined referral base spans over 700 Family Physicians serving approximately 3 million people. The TDDA partner physicians are also affiliated with six hospitals within the Greater Toronto Area. Since its inception in 1999, TDDA has successfully completed over 100 Phase II, III and IV research projects sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry. Enrollment targets have consistently been met and have often exceeded Sponsor's expectations. The TDDA research facility is fully equipped to conduct clinical trials in accordance with Good Clinical Practice. Its professional staff consists of full-time Study Nurses/Coordinators, a Clinical Operations & Regulatory Manager, a Business Manager and administrative support personnel. Our research facility also incorporates a modern endoscopy unit with capability to perform sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, esophagogastroscopy and biopsies.
