Sake Bar Kushi, located at Yonge & Eglinton, offers an authentic Japanese experience. Upon entering, the staff will yell out a customary welcome greeting in Japanese. The dark wood interior, black walls with white drawings, and red lights create a warm, sophisticated atmosphere. Specializing in “kushi,” Japanese-style skewers grilled over charcoal, are available with meat, vegetables, tofu and seafood selections, there is a lot of variations to choose from. You can also select from other types of food, including sashimi, teriyaki and karaage. Course menus are also available, that include a salad, starter, kushi, entrée and dessert. With 30 kinds of Japanese sake, a bar area, booth seating and Zashiki, a Japanese traditional-style large room where shoes are removed, both small and large parties can be accommodated.
