Brown & Burnes

Brown & Burnes is a litigation boutique which confines its practice to insurance-related litigation, acting primarily for insurers. After his call to the bar in 1964, Lyle Brown, Q.C., began his career with an insurance litigation firm. In 1980, he established the law firm of Brown & Forbes. John Burnes joined Brown & Forbes as a partner in 1988 and, in 1998, Lyle Brown and John Burnes formed the partnership of Brown & Burnes.
