Anaesthesia Services

Each year anesthesiologists from the University of Toronto provide in excess of 100,000 general anesthetics (often, to the highest risk patients imaginable), perform 12,000 epidural or spinal anesthetics for childbirth, work in intensive care units that look after the most critically ill patients in the city, help over 400 patients who require expert palliative care, and treat thousands of patients suffering from chronic pain. All told - an impressive volume of specialist-delivered service to our patients!
