Search for:About UsThe Ontario Public Service (OPS) has a long history of recognizing employee long service, which has included celebrations of 25-year career milestones, and special appreciation in the form of pins and certificates in their honour. In 1945 the OPS commissioned the Quarter Century Club (QCC) as a dedicated program within the Ontario Government to administer OPS long service recognition. In July 1993, the QCC became an incorporated not-for-profit association (Ontario Corporation Number 1036426). On April 1, 1997, the QCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Management Board Secretariat (MBS) to deliver the Program that resulted in the elimination of direct funding by the government for the QCC's general operating expenses.Government funding was then focused on the Program itself, accommodation, technical/administrative support and staff costs related to the delivery of the Program. The QCC raises its own additional revenue by the voluntary participation of its members in group plans and services offered by affinity program service providers.
