Eventually my father Olavi became the sole owner and moved the business from downtown to the more uptown Leaside area where a decision was made to start importing food products from Finland to expand the business. The Leaside location included a retail store where the meat and imported products were sold while the wholesale side grew with increasing sales to Northern Ontario and select locations across Canada.
