The company was originally founded by Gabriele Lowry and her husband, Dr. R. Neil Lowry, a Ph.D. chemist from Windsor, Ontario and now a legend in the North American pool/spa industry. Over the course of time others have joined the firm, including sons Michael (sales and marketing) and Derek (purchasing & logistics) making this very much a family business.Lowry & Associates has always been an enthusiastic proponent of Taylor testing products because of their ease of use and reliability. In fact, the K-2005 CompleteTM Kit has been a staple of the training program at the Lowry School of Pool & Spa Chemistry since 1980 and is used to test the Lowrys' own pool and spa.
