K9 Conduct is dedicated to providing the education needed in order to understand your dog and their pschology, your dogs' behaviour and how you can change it. Without committment, then the undesirable behaviour will remain and likely become worse and more difficult to manage. Many people often expect that their dog should understand what they want but they have not educated the dog to relate a command to an action. This creates a frustrated owner, a confused dog and behaviours that continue because the dog simply hasn't been given other desirable options. Your communication with your dog has to be clear and real each and every time you want something in order for your dog to understand. There has to be intention each an every time. You have to be consistent each and every time. The ultimate goal is to restore balance in your dog and in you. Anyone can have a dog that cooperates but the dog needs to educated. This is achieved through patience, time and consistency. Perhaps the most important thing above all else is being a master of your emotions. Unless you are aware and in control of yourself and your emotions, and what you are feeling in any moment, it doesn't matter what you do, or don't do - nothing will work. If you are nervous, frustrated or tense, you will project that to your dog and those around you. What you feel is what you project.
