Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, we create all kinds of music and performing arts film and video products for television.New Scotland Pictures was created in 2000 to produce music television programs and ''music movies''. The company was born out of Wharf Rat Film Group, eastern Canadas leading producer of music videos. Wharf Rat produced music videos in all music genres, including clips for artists The Barra MacNeils, Shirley Myers, Joan Kennedy and Amanda Stott, as well as projects commissioned by Island-Universal Records in the UK and Warner-Nashville in the U.S.A.With an experienced creative and administrative team, plus strategic creative and financial partnerships in Canada and abroad, New Scotland delivers high-quality programming to broadcasters around the globe.
