Union Lighting and Furnishings is Canada's largest lighting showroom and offers a comprehensive collection of fine furniture and decorative accessories. Union caters to both homeowners and trade professionals in their 100,000 square foot building located in the heart of the Castlefield Design District in Toronto.It all started in 1914 when Star Gas & Electric opened its doors for the first time. The company grew, and changed its' name to Union Electric to acknowledge the ''union'' of five brothers and their families. In the late 1960s, the current building at 1491 Castlefield Avenue was built in Toronto. In those days, Union was a lighting and electrical supply company distinguished by their superior products and knowledgeable staff for providing reliable service to both the electrical trades and general public.
