Direct Impact Wing Chun

I have been teaching the art of Wing Chun in Victoria since 1978. My involvement in martial arts started in the 1960s. I have taught at the University, at the YMCA, at various recreation centres, at various churches and privately from my home. I have also taught Tai Chi for the same amount of time. My background includes Wrestling, Karate, Hung Gar Kung Fu, Yang style Tai Chi, Wing Chun from various lineages, some Escrima, and modern Arnis from Remy Presas. Students can expect a relaxed teaching environment with an emphasis on safety and everyone helping everyone to learn. We do not emphasize competition at all. We do not use any ranking system. Various people have used what I have taught in a professional environment such as police work, working for the correctional institute or as bouncers. However, most students are ordinary everyday folk who practise martial arts for health, fitness, muscle toning, relaxation, de-stressing from work and as a social activity and just for fun.
