At The Nanaimo Pain Clinic, we have set out to create a safe, confidential, and encouraging space to address and treat opiate dependence. The rate of addiction in British Columbia has reached critical levels, creating chaos in our communities, and resulting in death across the province. In response to this epidemic, The Nanaimo Pain Clinic opened its doors in 2016 to ensure that those caught in the grips of drug dependence do not have to suffer alone. Understanding that addiction has many faces and takes many forms, The Nanaimo Pain Clinic uses an evidence based treatment model to provide medication-assisted therapy in tandem with recovery support counselling, prioritizing promptness, compassion, and respect to the core of the practice.
