In a far off place, long long ago, this whole radio thing started in small town at CJNB, North Battleford, Sask. The radio tour gained momentum with stops at Lethbridge, the mighty 630CHED Edmonton, the East coast giant CKLW, The Big 8, Windsor/Detroit. Ottawa, Winnipeg and an incredible run at CKXL, Calgary as Gentleman Jim. The experiences Jim gained were put to good use for the next 9 years assisting in setting up new radio stations through his programming consulting company. He even ventured away from radio for awhile to spend 4 memorable years with the Ulmer auto group. When the opportunity came to look at radio again and, during one of the most interesting times in this business, it was pretty easy to say yes. Jim and Barbara live in the Cowichan Valley, a place they just feel like they belong.
