Blackbird Knitting & Needlework is a 100% women owned and operated business. We have grown from the ground up, starting with a great idea and a definite love of all things fibre related. When we saw this sweet little shop in the perfect location on Main Street Leduc, we knew it was meant to be. Our mission is to provide affordable, quality yarn and supplies to knitters, crocheters, spinners, felters, and needleworkers. We offer classes in all things fibre-related, sourcing well qualified instructors province-wide. We have also launched our online store to enable shopping from the comfort of your own home. Our staff are highly skilled in multiple fibre arts, yet we are known for being down to earth and approachable. We carry locally made goods from Alberta artisans, including wooden yarn bowls and crochet hooks, jewelry, pottery, and an exclusive selection of hand knit shawls, toques, and handspun yarn (all great choices for a one-of-a-kind gift).
