Ayrshire Canada

The Ayrshire breed originated in the mountainous areas of the county of Ayr, Scotland; country where topography varies from sea level to 2,000 feet in the mountains. The temperature is constant from summer to winter, not too hot nor too cold.The race has developed its characteristic red and white around 1800 but was not recognized until 1814, his arrival in Canada was conducted in early 1800 through Scottish pioneers. The Association of Importers and Ayrshire Breeders of Quebec was founded in 1870.
