yellow pages group-service
I keep writing how poor yellow pages service is.My add has been wrong for 3 years in a row every spring...Promised it would be fixed now, right away..1 week later still not fixed...No matter how many times I write this it never ends up being seen on there ratings in the yellow pages.Yet others are seen ....Others who pay the yellow pages are being hurt.

Totally Frustrated
After several weeks of attempting to resolve an issue with an unsubstantiated negative review on our Yellow Pages listing, we came to the yellowpages listing to see what was posted here. Needless to say that we were not surprised to see the others posts here that match our experience as well. We have attempted to work with the "yellowpages team" to have a totally false review removed yet they insist that it is within their guidelines. Yet they have no proof that the incident ever occured, that no such customer has ever made themselves know to us, no such incident ever occured. Despite our providing them with copies of our policies, procedures, and contract the unsubstantiated post remains. So we have been able to substantiate our policies, provide our contract but that doesn't seem to matter to them. So we can prove it never happened, have over 3000 happy clients, yet anyone can post anything anytime without proof and we have no recourse? By the way we PAY for this system, we are THEIR customer yet THEY will not work with us to resolve this issue...seems unfair to me? Melanie LeBlanc New To You Mississauga, Ontario

THE MINDLESS APPROACH to CUSTOMER SERVICE
On March 23/2010 a "customer review" posting was made to the yellowpages profile (see Whte Oaks Tree Service - Mississauga). While Yellow Pages may have "TERMS OF SERVICE" with respect to these postings... It is obvious that these terms are neither verified nor enforced. The march 23rd posting to my profile was made by a disgruntled employee who was not being re-hired for the 2010 season. Even though the posting is a clear violation of the Yellow Pages terms of service. Yellow Pages personal have refused to act upon the violation and delete the post. The posting in question IS NOT a company review. IT IS A COMPLETE FABRICATION IT IS A PERSONAL ATTACK ON ME! IT IS SLANDEROUS & LIABLOUS IN NATURE. IT VIOLATES THE TERMS OF USE associated with making posts. Yellow Pages has made the choice to facilitate this personal attack. It costs $6000.00 for my Mississauga advertisment. Last year, when the YP rep was selling me on 2010, the new "online profile" was her major selling point. Despite a desire to sue the post writer.... Yellow Pages makes the choice to protect him. Despite being promisied by a YP rep (in May) that the post would be deleted.... It remains today... and now they refuse to delete it. Well YP... HAVE IT YOUR WAY!!! > I WILL NOT RENEW FOR 2011 > I WILL NOT PAY FOR 2010 (Who would pay to be slandered!) > I WILL NAME YELLOW PAGES AS A CO-DEFENDENT IN THE FORTHCOMING LEGAL ACTION. Sincerely Yours, Darren Weeks Owner - White Oaks Tree Service Mississauga, ON P.S. - I attach my name to prove that I am a YP real customer. Unlike the slime scumbag that IS NOT A REAL CUSTOMER. I'll never understand why YP has chosen to protect the slime scumbag that posted to my account profile rather than look out for THE INTERESTS of their PAYING CUSTOMERS.

Never Ceases to Amaze me
The Yellow Pages...what can I say? I never realized how much I depended on them until I bought my house. I found myself looking through the book for an inspector, used their mobile app (which I cant live without) when I was looking for a furniture store near mny new house, or the countless times I use Yellowpages.ca. I thought the comapny was closing, then I was looking up some business information on them on the internet when I realized how often I used them and I found that they are doing all kinds of crazy things, like google adwords and filming videos and they bought RED FLAG DEALS!!! wow. And the commercials are hilarious...the oil guy lol! Yellow Pages, you sold me again and I am a faithful user and follwer again.

frustrated with the customer service
I love my rep, he's very helpful and accomodating but unfortunately he came to the same impass as we did when to our horror we discovered that one of our hundreds of thousands of clients posted a negative review on our listing. We tried to have it removed as we have been in business for over 40 years, service thousands of happy clients weekly, have been voted best spa 7 years running in our local newspaper and have a client feedback form at our business where 99% percent of the feedback is positive. Yes we do make mistakes and I would have been happy to address this one given the opportunity. I noticed that we only had one review ( the poor one) and all the competitors in our area had 0. I would conclude that only emotionally fueled customers bother to fill out the reviews (as I am doing right now). I was not even notified of this new review process, I did not sign up for it and I happened to stumble upon it when I was helping guide a client to the yellow pages site to print off a coupon that we also pay extra for. I feel it leaves businesses vulnerable to slander and do not not feel secure with the verification process. We tried to call yellow pages to remove the review as it is damaging and were refused to even speak to a supervisor. We have been a an advertiser in the yellow pages for 40 years have multiple ads in multiple categories and spend thousands of dollars a month for what we expect to be positive exposure and am extremely dissappointeed and frustrated with the lack of cooperation and staff indifference (excluding my rep) regarding this matter.
