Romantic
Me and my boyfriend had a very romantic dinner here. The food and atmosphere were perfect....they have to work on their staff I've seen worst.

Worst Service Ever!
Not sure if the rude service was part of what makes this French restaurant "authentic", but I do know it was absolutely the worst service I have ever had. Servers were rude to us when order came out from the kitchen wrong and even swore at one point when water was asked for. My colleagues and I decided to tip less than 10%, even though we usually tip 20%. Server actually chased us down on the street to "teach us a lesson" by giving us the tip back as change. Unbelievable! Service even insipred me to write my first online reviews.

Absolutely Awesome
The experience we had was top-to-bottom awesome! We were treated extremely well, and the meal was stellar. Frankly, it was one of the best meals I've ever had. My venison was tender and flavourful, and the wine couldn't have been better. Make sure you try the house special drink, and its namesake. It's quite interesting and tasty. This restaurant is sadly being overlooked right now due to the construction beside it. By all means eat here! It isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny and then some.

Yes, the food was great and so was the service and decor. I would return. As for Morris(the chap who wrote the review before me), I dare say, this lad really on about something.

I came here for American Express' summerlicious...
I came here for American Express' summerlicious set menu, another word for a prix-fixe type. For those unfamiliar with this, it is where you pay a fixed price and you 'build' your own meal by choosing two or three courses from a selection. This time, my meal consisted of a cream of mushroom soup, a roasted chicken breast in a lemon-butter sauce and a finally a cr?me caramel for dessert. However, it wasn't the menu that caught my eye, it was the price. $15 dollars will usually only purchase an entree in an upscale restaurant such as this. However, here, you receive three courses (albeit small) for an amazing price. Even though the food was not quite as spectacular as the deal, most, I feel, will be satisfied though not smitten from this experience. The cozy dining room area I sat in was well lit although a bit too white and sterile for comfort. The use of paper napkins (for lunch) also detracted from the ambience somewhat.Otherwise, the setting was acceptable though unexceptional. The food was very good but again, like the d?cor, unexceptional. The soup was creamy and otherwise good, but lacked that essential flair that would have made it a memorable soup. The chicken was similarly good but again, unexceptional. The lemon sauce was slightly overpowering, and no butter could be tasted. The chicken was fairly tender and the potatoes were an infusion of flavours, potato, cheese and onions. The dessert was also quite good, but again, disappointingly unexceptional. It seems like this restaurant is too conservative in its d?cor and food. There's nothing special, save for the price. The waiters and waitresses were generally polite and competent, always refilling coffee and checking to see how the meals were going. One other note about this prix-fixe menu is that the portions are rather small. If you just come off of a 36 hour fast, do not have the prix-fixe menu. Those comments aside, this is still a good restaurant and a fairly solid choice if you are in the Yorkville area. The only problem is that it seems you can get the same quality (or better)of food and decor at many other places. How about taking some risks here to rise above from the crowded segment of upscale restaurants? That is why this restaurant averages out to a solid but not outstanding "8".
