This family business, operated by husband and wife team Kieyn and Stefanie Johnston is a true labor of love. The couple relocated from Miami to Tampa, setting their sights on new ground. It was evident that Tampa possessed a growing natural hair community with a high demand for a salon that would cater to their unique needs. A need Stefanie could not over look, especially after being approached on a regular basis by people asking, 'Who does your hair?'In 2009, Natural Essence would be born! Infused with deep Afro-Caribbean roots, NE set out to be a world premiere salon committed to the education and enrichment of a culture that unapologetically, defies society's definition of 'Beauty'. NE clients are taught how to properly care for and maintain their natural tresses.
