At Thunder Bay Osteopathy/Jo-Ann Mersereau D.O.M.P., D.Sc.O., R.M.T I offer 24 years of experience in manual therapy, including 5 years of hands on training as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. I offer both Integrative Massage Therapy and Osteopathic Manual Therapy. Osteopathy offers a holistic approach to health and wellness. It treats the person as a whole, taking into consideration the interconnection of all systems ie: nervous, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, respiratory, etc. My osteopathic goal is to focus on finding the possible source of dysfunction, not on only "chasing the pain". Integrative Massage Therapy is a general Swedish Massage treatment with the integration of advanced massage therapy techniques learned throughout my 24 years of practicing. It can be applied for general relaxation purposes, or as a treatment for acute or chronic pain and discomfort.
