Sunset Restaurant & Tavern

We liked this restaurant, but the quality of food was inconsistent. Myself and two of our friends ordered the burger-steak. It was good, but really its just a meatloaf. No complaints. My husband ordered the jumbo shrimp and it was aweful; 3 very breaded shrimp on wonderbread toast. The kids meals were either too small or too large. Overall I'd go back to have the burger-steak if I was with my inlaws, but other than that we'd probably pass.

awful, salty,and frozen! My wife and I had the misfortune of dinning here the other night... the food is lousy, the service is abrupt, and when all the other dinners are on life support you should just turn around and find some other place to eat! hospital food!

Excellent Prime Rib, which is what my partner and I both ordered. Cooked to perfection! Staff were very courteous and prompt. Unique Old World/European ambiance. Most certainly we will return.

This may sound quite silly, but I have driven literally two hours just to attend this restaurant. I used to live in the area but have since moved to Kitchener. Their Sunset Burger Special is simply the best thing you will ever eat. A delicious burger, open-face, covered in an incredible tomato-based sauce, with onion rings on top. Every once and a while I get cravings and talk some Kitchener soul into accompanying me to Strathroy for the best burger they will ever eat. Oh yes, and the service, price (if you don't count the gas it takes to get me there), and atmosphere are also great.

Very accommodating for a group of ten, for a lunch meeting and lunch. The lunch special John had looked particularly appetizing! I'll be back!
