Never have muddy paws again
Had to have an 8-year-old cat groomed for the first time in her life. The staff at Muddy Paws really know what they are doing. They made the cat feel so comfortable that she didn't get nervous at all, just sat quietly and enjoyed the pampering. All the dogs that were being picked up looked pretty happy too.

Great Grooming for Dogs
I have been taking my cairn terrier there for a few years now. My dog actually 'likes' to go there (unlike vet visits). They do a great job grooming - I highly recommend them! They even groom cats!

I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. This was my first and definitely the LAST time I would be going to Muddy Paws. Word to the owner: CUSTOMER SERVICE is key to a business which is something you lack when something goes wrong.

While I feel bad for Mike, I must say that I have never had a bad experience at Muddy Paws, quite the opposite actually. I have been going there for years with our dog Rory and the staff has been nothing but helpful, polite and going out of their way to accommodate us. I highly recommend Colleen, Paul and the rest of the staff to anybody who is looking for a great groomer and an excellent pet store. I don't know of any other pet supplier/groomer that even comes close. These people clearly love animals and it shows.

Today was an awesome day. We groomed several dogs today and they all looked great. Many of them were matted due to the poor weather conditions including the winter. This type of coat takes quite a while to remove and can sometimes create skin sensitivity in the critters. When this happens we apply a medicated sulpher bath that helps to ease the pain. Some pet owners are unaware that matting can create skin irritation. Nevertheless all the dogs went home happy and ready to take on a new day. Thank you Muddy Paws customers we appreciate your business!

We remember Mike. He did buy food and grooming services from our store. On the morning he refers to he was impatient and irritable. His appointment was for 8am and we called at 8:45 to inquire if he would still be coming. At this time he became rude with the associate who answered the phone. She put him on hold to find out how to respond to him (1-2minutes). When she came back, he appeared to be gone. Our groomer called Mike back and at this point, he was rude to her also. She hung up on him because his tone of voice was unnecessary and belittling. Had he responded in a polite manner to our inquiry and suggested a reasonable time that he could make it for, we would have gladly accommodated him. Our grooming appointments that arrive at 8am do take several hours, but the work begins immediately after drop off. The grooming process contains many steps, including bathing and drying time. The drying time alone can take 2-3 hours on some breeds. This is why we suggest coming in early -- to ensure grooming is completed ... and grooming services from our store. Saturday is our busiest grooming day of the week. This is why 20 or more dogs can be found lining up for their appointments on most Saturday mornings. We do offer 9 am grooming by appointment for those who cannot make it for 8. This would have been an option upon request. Grooming appointments are also offered during the week and the store tends to be less busy on these days. Flexibility is certainly an option, but during a mutually agreed upon time. It is not an open ended invitation to show up at any time without notification. We understand that Mike has a 5 month old baby, but this does not excuse the rudeness he showed our staff. Our call was not intended as an insult, but simply to gather details of whether he was still coming, and if so, when? He seems to have misinterpreted the situation.

We will never go there again. After spending close to $1000 at this groomers over the past year, we had an experience this morning which makes us wish we had never met these people. They have a policy to have all (possibly 20 or more) dogs in for grooming at 8am, so we asked the staff when making an appointment, if that could be flexible as we have a 5 week old baby. They said sure. at 8:30 this morning we got a call..asking if we were coming or not, as we were late for the appointment. When I asked if we could still come, and reminded them that baby comes first, they "went to ask". I held for a long 5 minutes..then put the phone down. 5 mins later, an angry woman calls me, tells me I am being rude and slams the phone down on me. I call back and they hang up.. I fully understand being on time for any appointment, but you know..if they have all dogs in at 8am..waiting to be "served" and you have previously asked for flexibility..then there is absolutely no need to treat customers this way. I will never go back, I will review this in as many places as I can...and simply state..if you have family..and might be a few minutes late for what is an "all day appointment" dont go here..and god forbid you do try to talk to them.. because they will call you and insult you on the telephone. I am sure the reviews below are staff ...I do not recommend Muddy Paws to anyone, unless of course you think that having the days business lined up at 8am, and being insulted over the telephone is great service...if so..get on down there. Muddy paws staff, if you read this..we have 2 dogs and 3 cats. We bought all food and grooming from you. add up how much that is, and the fact that I will thumbs down you online anywhere I can, and never recommend you to any of our doggy pals. Be nice to your customers.or they wont come back...
