Defence First takes pride in developing young talent and paving the way to the NHL. We at Defence First teach this thinking part of the game. Why would you read and react to the opposition? Why not initiate and dictate by influencing the situation with body/stick placement? We will teach your child how to take back control of their game! "DON'T JUST PLAY THE GAME; THINK THE GAME" Regular Camp Our standard camp teaches structured skating, 1 on 1's, 2 on 2's and offense from the backend. With 10 hours of ice they will learn to NOT chase the puck. They will have a plan of action which makes them more efficient and know what to do in all situations. Battle Checking Camp Techniques for initiating and receiving contact will keep our students one step ahead. Players will learn improved balance, power stance, safety during contact and confidence-building methods. Throughout the five days, we will have battles that will constantly challenge their balance and adjust their stance.
