Horrible service, good view and location
The food took an hour to get to us. Turns out our waitress never put our order in! The service is unfriendly and incompetent. But the food was good. Our meal came to $60 in total for 2 people, quite expensive. Maybe the food was so good because we were so hungry waiting almost an hour for it to get to us!

Not what it used to be... what a shame!
The food was skimpy and poorly prepared. The shrimp seemed to have been boiled three days ago and frozen ($11 for 4). The oysters were fresh but quite small for the $3 each price.Overall, the prices were too high for the quality and quantity. Table and chairs were cheap plastic. Only redeeming feature is the view of the marina.

You are paying for the view!
Not bad in terms of food, but nothing special either. expensive for what you get, and small portions. wine only comes by the glass or bottle and a big markup, no half-litres available. Our server was very nice, but overall, the food was okay, nothing special. it is nice to watch the water though. tables and chairs were cheap plastic and the inside could use a little updating. not sure I'll go again.

What a disappointment. For being so busy, the food was disgusting. My steak sandwich was maybe a 3 oz strip. It had to be the toughest steak sandwich I've ever encountered. I couldn't eat the ends of it. My friend had the rainbow trout and the whole plate looked like it had been microwaved. The rice was undercooked and the sauce was clearly bought prepared. Our service was decent, but failed to ask us how our meal was. The only upside was the pleasant hostess on our way out. Never returning again, there are much better spots in the area.

My wife planned a surprise birthday party for me...
My wife planned a surprise birthday party for me here. I had read this website when she told me she wanted to take me here for dinner and I told her no. She talked me into it though. Good thing too. Not only would our party of 20 friends have been confused but I would have missed out on a great restaurant. My wife spoke to the owners of the restaurant and they were very friendly and nice. The server was very attentive and friendly. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely amazing. People ordered everything from Lobster, to Fish and Chips, to Clam Chowder. Every person inour party was impressed with the food. If service is going to be slow then it will be when you have a party of 22 people. If the service is bad it will really show through with a large party. If the kitchen is slow, same thing. None of that happened to us and the restaurant was full. Do not be fooled by the bad reviews. Snug Harbour is a hidden gem. I have lived in Mississauga most of my life and I wish I had found this place sooner. My Sister and boyfriend suggested it to my wife because they know how much I like seafood. They had been 3 or 4 times before this and said that they were always impressed with everything.

Went for dinner because they have the best location in Mississauga. The appetizers were both deep-fried, but tasty. Our server was able to suggest some excellent entrees which my wife and I shared, and would order again. They brought out a desert tray with visual samples of their menu, very enticing! A reasonable wait (half hour for a seat on the patio) for a very busy place, but they do have a great view!

The view is great during a nice summer day. The food is not bad, but not great either. the thing that kills me about this place is how bad the service is. summer after summer we go to this place thinking that we'll give it another chance and the service always sucks. 10 min for someone to greet us, another 10 for the drinks to come and the food never comes. I don't what to suggest. i guess if you like the lake and want to seat by the water is good, just don't expect anything special.

Go for the view but not much more. We should have stopped after the oysters, they were great but you really don't have to do much when serving raw food. The fish from the fish and chips plate was terribly dried out..couldn't finish it, tasted too bad. My husband ordered the Mussels with White Wine and Garlic. The server accidentally spilled the mussel juice into the bread bowl, looked like bread soup...and actually asked if he should bring us another bowl...Duh!!!. The Mussels were over cooked and the shells weren't scrubbed. My water glass sat empty for 30min during the meal. My husband and i finished eating at the same time, a bus boy took his plates away but left mine. For a place that has so much potential management certainly doesn't step up to the plate. Instead of training the bunch of high school servers hired for the summer, they allow the wait staff to stroll around in over sized pants and extremely short mini skirts, unable to strike a smile or offer a menu suggestion. I'll be back for the view and the oysters, but that's all i'll bother spending at Snug Harbour.

The service was slow, food was okay, but small portions. Our waitress was very accomodating even though we changed our orders a few times.

Four of us went for my birthday lunch. Waited over an hour for food which never appeared, server told us it was coming but they were short-staffed. After an hour and a quarter we sent her into the kitchen to find out what time it was going to come-turns out they lost our order. So the server had just been making things up to tell us while we waited. we left and refused to pay for what we had to eat and drink so far. There was no customer service from management-they should have enticed us to come back by giving us a gift certificate but they did not, they did not seem to care if we ever returned. I think this place gets so much business due to the location which is really nice, that they don't care about customer service. Nice weather is not an excuse to be busy, if a business is short-staffed, there are places to go to get staff. Customer service should not suffer. No exuses, they ruined my birthday afternoon and upset my family. We will never go back.

The place was visited 4 times so far. Very nice music and patio, beautiful view. A very romantic place. Service is good but slow. Their best dish, seafood pescatore, is good but expensive ($23) and the portion is small for that price. Rainbow trout (second recomended popular dish) had some unpleasant aftertaste. Calamari rings were okay. The choice of food, however is not very big. Generally, the atmosphere is nice, but food.... I had much better.

The atmoshere and service was outstanding. I took a friend of mine out to celebrate a promotion I received. We had many drinks and had a great time. When dinner arrived, my friends order was correct, mine wasn't. After 5 minutes our server asked how things were, I said that my order was incorrect. She corrected it promptly and we began eating our fish and chips. We were both disappionted in how small our single servings was. After we finished, our server returned and we told her that we were not satisfied with the size of our serving ($10.50) and asked if we could have one one of them removed from our bill. She was unable to do so, so I asked for her Manager. Her Manager was unwilling to accomodate our request and I asked to speak with her Manager. She said that person would be one of the owners who was dining with his family. I requested that I speak with him. After a few minutes he approached our table in an agggressive manner and with our bill in hand, stated that we had spent $120.00 plus tax on drinks (over 3 hours) and said that "2" Managers had spoken with us and accussed us of having to much to drink and upon further conversation stated that he was going to call the police if we didn't pay the bill. Frankly, we were shocked by his approach. I said, "We spoke with one Manager, what do you mean by two? He said, "I don't care" and would not explain why he said two when we only met with one. He again threatened to call the police. I was shocked that he took such an aggresive approach to an amount that accounted for less than 10% of our bill. Since he was one of the owners I realized that there was no where else to go. I left $150 to cover the bill and $30 for our waitress (by the way, the waitress, Stephanie, was very good). We left fealing extremely disappopinted by the way that we were treated and agreed that we would not return in the future.

We fell for this place again, the nicest patio in Miss'ga but the food and service are defintely below average. We don't mind salt but the steamed clams were so salty we could not even eat them, fish batter was OK but greasy, calamari was OK. Waitress was inattentive and kept chatting with another guest and we had to often wave her down to get service.
