Easily the best steak-on-a-bun in Toronto. Lots of meat, lots of onions, and nice hot jalapeno peppers "on request". Ditto for the veal. The same owner has been here for as long as I can remember, and as a result there's a real emphasis on quality. The portions are so generous that most people would be filled to capacity with just one sandwich. A Toronto Classic!

If you want to have a great extremely filling...
If you want to have a great extremely filling italian sandwich this is the place to go. The sandwich was loaded with REAL meat, unlike other fast food places. Not to mention the girl who served me was SMOKIN' hot. Definitely go again.

Ignore the cranky attitude from the cook, and order the steak sangwidge. It's good. Parking can be difficult on Coxwell. You can try to park at the LCBO next door.

I have been eating at San Fran's for over ten...
I have been eating at San Fran's for over ten years. Yes the customer service could be better but it's just because they are old school Italians who are mmostly concerned with giving you great food, and that is exactly what you will get. Pasta, pizza, sub or my all time favorite Veal on a bun....its all great and really affordable too. Highly recomended!!!
