We just experienced the local cuisine in at a great venue 15 minutes away from Palgrave, Ontario. The Consulate Dining Lounge located outside of Caledon East is a hidden gem located in the Royal Ambassador Banquet Hall. We attended a wedding there earlier in the year and noticed the Consulate, the fine dining lounge which over looks the Innis Lake and made note to come back again, which we did. I had the rack of Lamb and great glass of wine with an amazing home made dessert and met the Pastry Chef too. Susannah has been making fine deserts for 3 decades and her experience shows ! Will be back with a larger party soon.

We went to dine at the Consulate last week after reading a review on line, and were very impressed. The grounds are magnificent as well as the dining lounge. The wine we were recommended was fantastic as we were not familiar with the selection that obviously does not appear at the LCBO. Our server was fast and friendly and her suggestions were bang on. One of our party members enjoyed the Vegan dish and I enjoyed the Beef Tenderloin. For dessert the in house pastry chef Susannah Warren suggested a party platter of all her delectable treats. A great suggestion. We will be back again and again, well worth the trip from Mississauga.

Fine dining Consulate Dining Lounge in Peel Region overlooking the Caledon Mountarn and Innis Lake. Extensive wine list not found in many places.

We had our 30th Wedding Anniversary at the Consulate Dining Lounge in Caledon last week. This location is truly a hidden "GEM" in Caledon, as it is situated overlooking the 20 plus acre Innis Lake, with stunning views of the Caledon Hills and Fall colours. We had a great starter salad which was crisp like it was just picked, a sensational piece of braised lamb and too top it off the House made Susannah's Apple Cake paired with the local wine. All in all, I rate the overall experience a 5/5, and will return for the delicious fare again.
