Mandarin Restaurant Burlington

My wife is in a wheelchair, and I was very disappointed that this place had no wheelchair access. Couldn't get the door open, and had to get a passerby to help me get the wheelchair through the door. We went on a Saturday for lunch and were surprised that the lunch was $16.99, just because they called it a brunch and added sausages, eggs, & bacon. Most of the food was pretty good, but overpriced. In this day and age you would think they'd get their act together for handicapped accessibility.

very poor selection for the price. the food is very north american, so why eat chinese?

Everything is tasteless, no garlic, ginger, chillie or anything remotely associated with cantonese or mandarin cooking. Great for someone who has absolutely not concept of asian cuisine.

There were cockroaches running around on the table as well as the walls. We killed two of them and showed the waitress. The restraunt is infested with cockroaches. This is a huge health concern.

dirty dishes should have been removed sooner.most staff very pleasant. I tip rather large but feel its a hard job -----but when you open food should be all there--and it was not-----this was Sun 11.30am----food not all out till 11.50am--all in all though nice place

Table ready 45 minutes late. Management showed no concern. Had to ask three times for table service. Complained to head office who did appear concerned. Items ordered did not arrive!

The Mandarin has very nice servers, friendly, always smiling. The food is second to none and lots of it. If you rate the place less than 8, then you have no taste.

Overall, an excellent experience. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. I am suprised to read from others that the food is stale. I have only every found it to be fresh and very tasty!

First visit to the Mandarin. Very impressive slection of food. Pretty good service. Good value for $10.99 for lunch buffet. Will definately go back

Let me tell you! The Mandarin is absolutely amazing!!! The food is always hot and fresh, and there is so much to choose from! The service is great because they always check up on you to see how you're doing, and if they can get you anything. The Mandarin also has a very nice atmosphere and is very clean! And you can't go wrong when it costs merely $9.99 per person for an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet!

Very surprised at the negative reviews....these people must have an axe to grind (the one that got sick immediately after eating doesn't understand medicine.....if she was ill that fast it wasn't from the restauarant...it was from earlier) Anyway we have been many many times over the years....the selection is unsurpassed....food of all styles, great sushi bar, great spring rolls, great FRESH salads and seafoods......yes the staff are almost overly friendly but is that really a flaw?...service is fast and accurate.....food is replenished frequently....best buffet anywhere! $16 an adult for early week for all you can eat is a steal! Go there now if you are hungry!

I don't understand the negative reviews. The food was fresh, constantly being replenished and the staff was friendly and helpful. This is the second Mandarin that I have been to, and both times the dining experiences were very good.

This is by far one of my favourite places to eat out at. If you get the buffet you can eat all you want and the food is amazing. I always have to go up at least 3 different times just so I can get everything I want...and that's even before the dessert! Really friendly people, really tastey and fresh food. Go there!

We were pleased to find the great service and attention to details we received at the Mandarin. The food was hot, fresh, and more than enough variety to satisfy everyone in our party. Definitely recommended! A great place to go for a fantastic meal.

I was extremely impresed with my meal at this restaurant. As soon as I walked in the door with my mom, all three hostesses gave us a warm hello, and one introduced herself and chatted with us as she brought us into our table, making sure to point out the main highlights of the buffet and the location of the bathrooms. Our server came to our table promptly, introduced herself, took a drink order, and encouraged us to begin our lunch at the buffet. The food was warm and delicious, and was being replaced constantly. As soon as I had finished with a plate at my table, someone was by to pick it up within seconds, and my water and cola were always being refilled without me having to ask. I have never been to the Mandarin before, but I will definately make the trip up to Burlington to dine there again!

The staff is too friendly, I know this sounds weird, but we must have said hello to 15 people before we took our seets one minute away from the door. The prices are high, so make sure you bring your appetite. Although it appears that the re=stock the buffet, the food still tastes like it has been sitting out all day.

Love this place. I don't like the fact they won't let you let you have a doggy bag anymore. Stupid policy. Your only going to throw out the food anyways.

It's your typical mass produced buffet food. I found the sushi unappetizing and the other dishes rather greasy and bland. the fresh fruit and veg was nice. My co workers didn't really seem that enthusiastic about their food either and they had the more traditional Canadian-Chinese food. I went for a Christmas lunch for work. I was intrigued to see the buffet as I always hear people talk about how many items they have. They certainly offer alot and a lot of Western dishes too. I guess it's good if you like variety, but not so much if you like healthy, tasty food.
