Went to Faloney's for a staff lunch in December and it was fantastic. I ordered the texas dip, $12.45 and it was unbelievable. I have gone back since to try something else, but ended up going with the texas dip again. I went with the house salad (comes with it) over fries, pretty standard salad... the balsamic vinaigrette dressing stood out. Had a pint with of Keith's with it, bill came to $20. Service was very good too. Will be back soon.

This was the BEST meal I have had in a long time!!!! I recently visited Faloney's with some friends after reading a review in the Hamilton Spectator. I had heard good things about the food before but never made the the trip up to Ancaster to check it out. I am glad I did. The steak was unbelievable!! My friends also enjoyed their entrees. I tried a couple of ribs... they were amazing! The patio is beautiful! Probably on of the nicest patios in the Hamilton area. The staff was knowledgeable and very polite. The service was quick however the place wasn't overly busy at the time. All in all I don't have any complaints with this place, I will definitely be back soon! Very affordable and very good quality!

My girlfriend suggested Faloney's after a friend of hers recommend it. We had herd they changed their menu and it was less pricey. I have been to this establishment once and thought the steak was excellent however the prices were a little steep. After hearing they had made some renovations to the place and did a total overhaul to the menu I was somewhat excited to see and taste the changes. I was pleasantly surprised! The place still has a great atmosphere and it is a little less formal than before. They have also decked the bar out with HD TV's which was nice because my girlfriend and I wanted to watch curling. The food was excellent. They had the best smoked ribs I have had in a long time and my girlfriend enjoyed the Soldaats chicken. I think this change is a move in the right direction for Faloney's given the economy. My girlfriend and I live in Ancaster and we will definitely be going back soon.

well i was here once before and was forced into changed my review. big mistake. i went back to try again and it was worse if that was possible. the bar staff should be fired as a whole, the wait times made me want to leave and i almost walked on the bill. STAY AWAY

I was surfing this site to read the reviews. Seriously I can not believe some of these writers. Our experience at Faloney's has always been great, even on their busiest evenings with the restaurant full & patio packed because of the live entertainment our food has always been wonderful. The service has always been good. The servers have personality the food is unlike anywhere else in the area. The steak is 'mouth watering' to the fullest. The jumbo shrimp...are huge! Each to their own I suppose.. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends..well I already have and we are impressed & will keep coming back!

When we arrived, we were waiting at the door, because the staff was congregated around the bar, giggling and laughing. One turned around to see us, but then turned her back and started laughing with the other staff again. When we finally did get seated, the menus were greasy and sticky, and the food was overpriced. It took forever for our server to return and take our order, and when she did, she was rude and snappy and unknowledgeable; she could not recommend a wine for our meals. The glasses for our cocktails had fingerprints all over them, and one even arrived with lipstick marks on it. That was disgusting, but unfortunately one of the better aspects of my evening. The mussels were rubbery and smelled odd, the crab cakes were flavourless lumps, the bruschetta was like a pizza, and the tomatoes tasted old and rotten. The shrimp cocktail tasted like it was boiled in dishwater. When our entrees finally arrived, about an hour after we finished our appetizers, we got served some disgusting slop that masqueraded as food, given to us quite rudely. The veal was tough and chewy, like some leather sole off a shoe. The sauce from the seafood pasta tasted like it came out of a can, which I'm sure it did, and the seafood itself was rubbery and dry. The stuffed chicken was stuffed with more chicken, as my server told me, and it tasted like garbage. The steak was salty, because it had on it some disgusting concoction called "Faloney's spice," which the owner kept bragging about (for no good reason), instead of asking us about our terrible dining experience. The lobster tails, when they finally arrived about ten minutes after all our other food, were undercooked, and had to be sent back. The waitress glared at us as she picked them up, and then slammed them onto the table when she returned them. Then she stormed off. The sea bass was, compared to the rest of the meal, half-decent, but it was overpriced for such a small portion. Some slices of cake tasted decent, but others were old and stale, and not worth being $10 each! Whoever says that Faloney's provides a good dining experience is either lying, because they're a friend of the owner, or has never experienced REAL fine dining before.

My husband and I live so close to Faloney''s, and I wish we would have visited the restaurant before now!!! I loved the table by the fireplace and just how classy the restaurant is decorated. Even the washrooms are outstanding! As for the food - My husband and I were entertaining business clients and we were so pleased with our steak dinners - that is honestly the best steak I have had in my life. The server was amazing, and suggested that we go into the bar area to finish our evening. We took the advice and relaxed in huge comfortable chairs, by the fireplace. We had alot to prove that evening with our clients and Faloney''s was the perfect place to impress!!

We had a large 50th Anniversary Dinner, with children 11 and up but mostly adults. The unfriendly service (by very young staff)was awful, initial drink order took 15 minutes to take and another 20 minutes to arrive. We had to ask if we could have bread on the table. After 45 minutes we had to ask again if we could place our food order. When it came some dinners arrived before appetizers, the veal was returned as too tough, the lobster was overcooked and rubbery...the steaks were good. Would not recommend.

From the call to make a reservation till the time we walked in and later left the evening was amazing. The astmosphere was breath taking with a beautiful large tree in the centre of the room, the staff were kind, attentive and knowledgeable and the was out of this world and cooked to perfection. It was a pleasure to meet Chef Andre and personally thank him for a awesome dining experience. We will definitely be back....as soon as we can.

The service was slow. The waitress was rude and when told that she had served me the wrong steak she contradicted me. The portions were small.

Well I have been to Faloney's several times, the restaurant is fabulous! The patio was a lot of fun, especially the jazz musician they had there. Faloney's is now offering $19.95 for a pitcher of beer and 2lbs of faloney's wings (which are huge) on mondays for monday night football, I will be there! Faloney's just keeps getting better!

Dinner at Faloney's was excellent,from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left was perfect. We were greeted with pleasure, our server was very knowledgeable, she took the time to understand us therefor our service was excellent. The food was unbelievable. We were greeted on the way out by another server. We will definitely be back.

food was great (benefit for cancer). lots of famous people around. it was in a long series of benefits for an excellent cause. there was a romantic patio with a fire going that made the best part of the night. made for an mostly happy outing

the food and the service was fabulous! you can't find food this good ANYWHERE in Hamilton. We are so glad we found Faloney's and would definitely recommend this gem to anyone who loves great food and a wonderful atmosphere!

The food was delicious and cooked exactly to our specifications - best steak I have had in a long time. We sat on the patio which is a gorgeous space but the service was extremely slow.

We had made reservations in advance for a birthday party. It wasnt that busy, but the service was excellent. We had a seperate room, and it was goregous. Everyone ordered something different, and everyone loved their food. It was spectacular. The elegance of this resturaunt and the food makes you want to come back. The desserts were fantastic, Wally's Ice Cream Sundae is a must according to my younger sister! Wally did an awesome job with this resturaunt, and the food is amazing! Definately coming back!

From the moment i walked in the service was good. The hostess was kind and offered to take mine and my boyfriends coat...making it a good start to a wonderful evening. As soon as we sat down our water was filled and candle lite! The Server was very friendly and was able to answer our questions well and easily(and she was a younger server too)! Even though it was a busy night i still did not find the service terrible or slow or the food bad as from what i have heard before. Overall a wonderful experience and i am glad that i ignored the rumors and went to Faloneys...and i will definitely be back!!

My wife and I shared the seafood platter for 2, with a generous serving of sea bass ,salmon, huge lobster tail, 4 of the biggest shrimp and scallops I've ever had and the oysters Rockefeller were excellent

Nice place with friendly (not to knowlegeable) service. The food was good but not "wow" for the price. Cocktails, bottle of wine, 2 glasses of wine, appetizers, entrees, one dessert, one cappucino was $280 including tip. No complaints but there must be better bang for the buck

We were at Faloney's on October 23, 2006 for our 2 year anniversary. We usually try a new restuarant every month. Well needless to say it was outstanding from the moment we sat down to the appetizer, main meal, to the mouth watering dessert. Loved the stuffed Chicken and Ceasar salad. Not to mention the raspberry/mango cheesecake. We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the food meet every taste bud in my mouth including the ones i didnt even knew existed. I am still thinking about our meal.UMMMMM...YUMMY. Not to mention the service did not go unnoticed. Our glass was never empty. I have been telling all my friends about Faloney's since our visit last night!I think we may have found a new restuarant!!!

Great food, god atmosphere and exceptional service. the filet was amoung the best ive ever tasted. when money is not an issue, i love to go for dinner at Faloneys

This was a first time for me and my family. I had heard poor reviews initially about this establishment, but with recent raves, we decided to venture there for a family birthday dinner. The food was great, all of us enjoyed delicious appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks with an extremely helpful and quick server. The food on the other hand took a little longer than I think was necessary, we were there for approximately three hours with the same amount of time between waiting for appetizers and waiting for our entrees. Evan Champagne, a wonderful singer, was also performing live, which added a unique touch. I definately think that Faloney's is doing something right, and I will recommend others to try it out for themselves!

This is an excellent restaurant we were there for 4 hours and itr seemed like 1 hour food is great and service is wonderful and aumbiance
