Midwifery Services

Welcome to Midwifery Services of DurhamMidwifery Services of Durham was established in 1994 at the time when midwifery became legislated in Ontario. Midwifery Services of Durham provides complete low-risk prenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care by our midwives that have many years of combined experience in midwifery care. The midwives and student midwives in the practice are all registered with the College of Midwives of Ontario and are affiliated, as a teaching practice, with the Ontario Midwifery Education Program. Our focus is on caring for mothers and babies in different settings, and a shared respect for childbearing women, their families and communities. Midwifery Services of Durham provides care to women who live in the South York and Durham Region, with hospital privileges at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
