At Empower we’re helping adults rediscover the joy of play. When you were a kid you didn’t need to go to a gym, the world was your gym. You didn’t need an exercise routine; Every tree branch, park bench and bannister was an opportunity to move and challenge your body. You were too busy chasing your friends around the playground in a game of tag to take up jogging. Your heart, lungs and muscles worked harder doing it too though it never would have occurred to you as work. Fitness is no longer a solitary pursuit but a means of forging lasting and meaningful bonds, of creating and sharing meaningful memories. And when you rediscover how to play you also rediscover that spring in your step. Because you start to move like a kid again, you start to feel like a kid again.
