Kelowna Heating Service Ltd

We bought a 20 year old house and had a very experienced inspector confirm our furnace was fine. We hired this company to do an annual service and not long after our furnace stopped working. The `technician` (owner) came by and said the pilot light was too low so it extinguished (why was not this noticed during the annual inspection?). He then turned it up. Not long after our furnace stopped working again and we called them to see what was wrong. He (owner) stated the thermal couple needed to be replaced so we paid to have the work done. He said the part typically lasts 7 years. Two weeks later the furnace stops working again and we call again. The owner comes by again and states the thermal couple is not working again and changes it. Two days later on the coldest day of the year the furnace stops working again. A different tech comes by and replaces the gas valve. We refused to pay and told him we would be calling the owner the next day. We explain to the owner on the phone that the thermal couple obviously was not the problem since we had three different ones in two weeks so we were willing to pay the charge for the gas valve replacement minus the charge to change the thermal couple since it was the incorrect diagnosis. The owner said everything they did was correct, we were lucky he did not charge us the second time we had the thermal couple replaced and hung up on me. Stay away from this company!
