Booked a session for my dog. Check-in was rushed. No questions asked about my dog - temperament, health, etc, and this was our first time. In the meantime, three more dogs and their owners came in, and the area was very tight. So she just grabbed my dog and got a groomer to take him in right away. Never once did she ask if I had any questions. Felt like a conveyor belt of getting the dogs groomed. I will not go there again, and I will not recommend. Seems like they have enough business that they don't care to foster new ones. When I called back because I thought the nails and paw hairs were not trimmed well enough, the lady insisted that it was done. When I argued back the third time that I don't think so, shen then said to bring the dog back and put the phone down right away. No customer service in my opinion.

FABULOUS place and lovely people! I recommend this place because the job was so professional; the people are lovely, friendly & helpful; and animal lovers. The owner came to talk to me & took the time to explain everything. Asked me to show her with my fingers how long I want it. She keeps a record for next time. I wasn't really sure so she helped me decide by explaining different styles. She reassured me we love dogs here. ...It's a spa day! She kissed my dog too! I laughed when my dog kissed her back. I heard this place was good but I didn't know it was going to look so beautiful. Best job I have ever had and the people were so friendly! It isn't cheap but there is a sign inside the shop explaining why it cost more for your dog's hair cut than your own hair cut ... *Ask for a copy of the sign! It's hilarious! It is really busy here. They are voted Number 1 in Burnaby. It took 1 week to get an appointment because there was a cancellation. I asked when to make my next appointment? (It can take 2 weeks if you don't pre-book.) I booked the next appointment before I left.

I found out about this place at the dog park in Burnaby. …Everyone I asked takes their dog to this place. Easy free parking right across the street - no meters. I booked an appointment. The people are so friendly. It was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. The owner came out to see me. I loved this - She asked if it is alright to give my dog a cookie because it is a spa. We are animal lovers but your dog doesn't know us yet! I was so impressed. These people are so kind. It was a WOW moment when I saw my dog! I could hardly believe my eyes. My dog looked so beautiful. I highly recommend this place! Definitely the best place to go if you want the best job and friendly service... I can't say it enough - Awesome place! Be sure to read the sign "Ten Best Reasons." I couldn't stop laughing and had to read them all. She asked if I wanted a copy. They have printed copies for the asking. It’s really funny! They have a web site to see grooming but you can't book online. Be advised they are busy because they are so good; also very well known. Voted the Best in Burnaby and I can see why. I'll be back!

The customer service I received at Sunnyslope was terrible from the start. The reason I returned was because it is close to my house and the car ride over to the groomer really stresses my dog out. The owner was incredibly uncompassionate and frankly, annoyed that my dog barked. She physically restrained him, which I thought was very unprofessional. I guess, because I'm not a regular customer (again, I take my dog on an unregular basis because of his anxiety) she feels justified in being short and rude. If you are looking for someone to treat your furry friend with respect and care, regardless of his panic levels, please look elsewhere.
