Keukenhof, which literally translates to kitchen court garden, has been around since 1949 and is the world’s largest and most impressive flower parks. It is a taste of heaven for any tulip lover- with it’s 7 million Dutch bulbs that are planted annually; a real sight for soar eyes. The Keukenhof is great for families; with childrens playgrounds and spots for picnicking. Also of interest for this upcoming summer, the Keukenhof will be commemorating 400 years of the historic relationship between the United States and the Netherlands. A flower mosaic of the Statue of Liberty will be made of 25, 000 flower bulbs- an event not to be missed.

this list is pathetic and incomplete - you fail to include a number of larger, more famous, more impressive gardens

these include a number of gardens in europe, for instance kew gardens in england. butchart garden on victoria island in canada is also worthy of mention

Great pictures. I’m putting this on my list of places to visit this summer.

The orchid garden in Singapore is a year-round display. Very imporessive. Not to be missed are the botanic gardens in Kuala Lumpur, especially the small, but fascinating butterfly garden.

What’s really sad is that this year was the last for the Northwest Flower and Garden Show unless the owners can find a buyer.

I have to second the “where’s Butchart Gardens” complaint. Not to mention the Huntington Library and Gardens in Southern California. And Kew.

You missed the Chelsea Flower Show in London. Not a permanent display, but still an unbelievable display of flowers and landscape architecture.

The Philadelphia Flower Show is the largest indoor flower show in the world; I can’t believe it is missing from this list. Longwood Gardens is also very impressive, but it’s not in Delaware, it’s in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

At Keukenhof, can you pluck one flower? Because as soon as I see the picture and read that people usually picknicking there, I cannot stop thinking if I have the chance to go there, the colorful flowers surely will make me pluck one.
